I just want to add that the information Steve gave me helped and now I'm up and running with confidence of the outcome, thankyou very much Steve.
Karl, good to hear your problem is resolved and speak again when we both hit the same hurdle!! hehe. I was able to convert some of my mpeg files to DVI-AVI with windows movie maker too, although the saved files seemed to be much larger, anyway's, great forum.

Billy.
