Re: Backgrounds /AVIs with alpha channelsI will put it on the list Beth
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.
2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
Re: Backgrounds /AVIs with alpha channelsAny old orb, or are you thinking along the lines of a spinning Earth, for example?
Re: Backgrounds /AVIs with alpha channelsI guess any old orb because I'd like to use it as a matte layer for track matte so video would superimpose over it. Not sure how it will work yet but would love to test it out.

Re: Backgrounds /AVIs with alpha channelsWould this be spinning horizontally, Beth, like a globe spinning from left to right, or spinning as if seen from overhead?
And when you say globe, do you mean a graphic illustration of the Earth? HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Backgrounds /AVIs with alpha channelsJust another thought, Beth, because you say you want to superimpose your video on it.
What if you used the Spherize effect and then just -placed a frame around it so only what was inside the circle showed? If you keyframed motion, you could have it move from left to right and then have another clip move in to replace it with its own movement, giving the illusion that the rounded picture was rotating. Is that the effect you're looking for? HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
Re: Backgrounds /AVIs with alpha channelsSteve,
I'm not sure what I want to do but want to experiment with using video as my matte. Kind of like having the motion keyframing done for me and/or more intricate stuff. I tried some of the motion backs with the luma matte and some looked pretty interesting. No rush though Chuck. It's not for anything I need per se more to experiment and share. Beth Happy Editing,

Re: Backgrounds /AVIs with alpha channelsDoes Premiere Pro have the Spherize effect?

Re: Backgrounds /AVIs with alpha channelsyes, but I've never been a big fan of it. I did however, use it once to make a globe spin which was cool.
