Working Clips

Postby kathyconnolly » Mon Apr 11, 2011 11:48 am

This is probably a really silly question, but is there a place that I can put clips after I trim them to use in a video in progress? I would like to put the clips in the organizer, but don't want to create and save all the little pieces.

Thanks,
Kathy

Hi Kathy,
Never a silly question :)

Are you trimming the clips on the Timeline or in the Clip Monitor?
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

In the timeline. I haven't used the clip monitor, but you might have just answered my question!

If you set the in and out points in the clip monitor you can then drag the sub clips to the project media panel.
I don't know if you can then move or add them to the organizer for later use in another project.
