When I export a video as MPEG, I always get an .xmp file in addition to the .mpg file. Does anybody know what that .xmp file is for and what I should do with it? (WinXP).

It's a file that contains metadata.
Re: What for is .xmp file?I know that it is not necessary, I usually delete those myself. The files still play just fine without them.

XMP is a generalized infrastructure for a standard exchange of metadata between apps, photographs, etc. aka Cheryl
