Thankyou Paul & Dave,
I have listed some of the things that I have done to get my problem solved
Here is a list of the various remedies that I have tried in order to be
able to record HD information back to tape in my Canon HV30
Disabled USB Hubs
Tried both old and brand new tapes.
Disabled internet connection
Disabled Web Cam
Disabled screen saver and background picture and sidebar.
Replaced Firewire Cable with new one.
All of these have been done in order to be able to transfer footage from
computer using Adobe Elements 7 to my camera Canon HV 30.
The error that occurs is to check hdv/dv connection. This occurs between
3 and 10 minutes after transcoding starts.
System Vista
II have now purchased a copy of Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9. I am using this in the following manner.
Download Elements movie into Vegas then save movie back to Canon HV 30. This works but I'm not sure if the original quality (HDV) is still preserved. In doing this I have established that there is no problem with my camera or the Firewire cable, Just damn x*&%#@ Elements 7 which apart from saving back to camera is a great program.
I would appreciate it if you know of any other steps that I can take to get Elements to write back to my Canon HV30
Kind Regards Guys
John
