Narration in PE7

Specific to Premiere Elements Version 7.

Narration in PE7

Postby RandysMedia » Sat Dec 05, 2009 9:58 am

Each time that I try to record narration, it creates a choppy video playback. If I delete the nav. the the video is still choppy. Likewise, no audio is even being recorded on the nav. Any suggestions? - Randy :(

At what point is the video choppy, Randy? When you're recording or after you've recorded and you're playing the video back?

Meantime, have you clicked on the little microphone icon in the upper right of the Narration panel and ensured your microphone is properly configured?

I'm not sure what you mean by "If I delete the nav. the the video is still choppy. Likewise, no audio is even being recorded on the nav." Is the "nav" the narration audio clip?

That said, you may also want to go to Premiere Elements' Edit menu and select Preferences/Audio Hardware. Click on the ASIO settings button and ensure the hardware configuration matches your actual hardware.

Finally -- You aren't recording with a USB microphone, are you? Premiere Elements is known to have problems with USB mikes.
