APE7 does not burn blu-ray

Specific to Premiere Elements Version 7.

Hi once more!

Well, I cannot get the solution for my crashing/bluescreen-problem, but I succeeded in burning my 3,5 hour-project splitted in three parts onto three blu-rays (my goal was to use just two blu-rays). So this is what I call the dirty solution, but it works and it looks as I wanted it to.

And the last point is what is most important to me. I would not have succeeded without your massive help and I want to thank you for that!!! You are great! :TU:

Well we are happy to hear that you did get the project done, sorry it took 3 discs though.

I still wonder what the underlying reason for the issue is, we may never know.

I had the very problem Cnutson had: Blue bar almost finished, Error message "Ger". Happened several times, Blue Ray Disk never touched. Like Cnutson I have a German Version of Pre7 running on Vista 64 home premium.

I followed some advise posted in this an other forums. The following changes I applied:
- name of disc remained date and timestamp as suggested by Pre7
- all gaps deleted within the project timeline
- all unused clips removed from edit menu
- target format one below full HD (I think it is 1440 by 1080)

With this it worked right away. Maybe one should track humidity and phase of the moon as well.

Cheers.

When I discovered, that Premiere Elements 7 isn't able to burn BD-R DL (50 GB) !!!

I also don't currently work in Bluray, but do have a BD DL Burner installed on my System.

Assuming the Quote above is correct, then PE7 does not handle dual-layer Bluray discs.

Doe anyone know if PE8 can work with BD-R DL (50 GB) format ???

Thanx...
