Postby daveishere007 » Fri Apr 10, 2009 8:17 pm

When opening the program (already installed) I get to the page that states to enter the serial number or use the trial basis. I select trial basis then click next and it crashes.I have 2 gig's of memory and am running an intel (r) core (tm) 2 Duo CPU E6550 @2.33 GHZ.. and this program will run on my laptop which is slower.

The error message "Loading Wave_Warp.axe" then Premiere Elements 7 crashes

I have the latest version of quicktime

Windows is up to date

I am using Windows XP service pack 3, v.3311

I downloaded the Realtek high def audio codecs.

Currently at at a loss.. Anyone have any ideas?

The error message

I Dave, Welcome to Muvipix :meet:

This is almost always due to audio drivers, did you get the drivers from the Realtek site or from Dell or HP?
Probably not the correct drivers for your machine. There may be other reasons as well but not that I am aware of.
I'm sure someone else will come along with other suggestions. Until then try and find alternate drivers.
Are you sure you have Realtek audio?

It may be that the installation just didn't take the first time. Occasionally (rarely though) you need to uninstall it and try again.

Meantime, Secunia has a great, free program for ensuring that your supporting drivers are all up to date. It runs in the background and alerts you or automatically updates your system when new drivers become available.

Beyond that, is there anything "out of the ordinary" about your installation you can tell us?

For instance, is the computer home-built, are you installing to a drive other than the C drive? That kind of thing.

And finally how old is your XP installation? It could be that it needs a tune-up.

Hi there

Well, I just bought the full program. It works great on my laptop and I still have the same error on my PC. So, I am going to call tech support tomorrow and hopefully get this figured out. I will let you know what the outcome is.

Thanks

Dave
