Doubling Sound When Video is Captured

Doubling Sound When Video is CapturedI used a Sony Digital 8 Handycam to record a movie. When I download it to Premier Elements 7 software (w/Firewire), I'm getting a doubling sound in the audio. I used a wireless mic (& headphones) so I know the sound was okay at the time it was recorded. I have rechecked the connection and tried again with the same frustrating results. Any ideas? - Randy
Re: Doubling Sound When Video is CapturedFirstly welcome to the forum...
Does it have the doubling sound when the captured clip is played in a media player? If so I would say it is the actual audio of the clip that is the problem. You could try capturing in Microsoft Moviemaker or WinDV ( http://windv.mourek.cz/ ) to see if you have the same issue.
Re: Doubling Sound When Video is CapturedAlso, when you say doubling audio, do you mean that you hear the audio from both your computer and the camcorder (slightly delayed, so that it sounds like an echo)?
That's just the nature of video capture. There is a slight delay during capture. You just need to turn down the sound on your camcorder as you capture. HP Envy with 2.9/4.4 ghz i7-10700 and 16 gig of RAM running Windows 11 Pro
