H.264 / Adobe Flash

Postby John Callahan » Wed Jan 21, 2009 10:25 am

Hello,

I have several video flv files for a my website or youtube. It is my understanding that youtube perfers H264 if you want them to play in HQ automatic. With my flv files I need to add the &fmt=18 to get them to play in HQ.
Can I convert .flv to h264?
Can I import .flv into PE7?
If I need to break up a 60 min flv or any other type video files to meet youtube 10 min spec . Is my only choice with PE7 to export one ten min section at a time.

Thanks
John

They both have the same foundation but don't know if they use exactly the same method for conversions.
I have had very good results with H.264 and FLV from Premiere Elements .
