At long last, we're publishing our first book!

The book is a pretty thorough look at the new program, with virtually every tool explained and demonstrated. And, of course, it will be filled with our usual insider tips and tricks. A great reference guide for both the novice and those just wanting to dig a bit deeper into the latest version.

We're expecting it to be available about the time the program starts shipping, in about three weeks.

You must have been busy... what with writing the book, the Adobe Forum and Muvipix how on earth do you find time to fit in your day job?

Steve and Chuck, that is great news. Perhaps it is a generational thing, but I like real books. i can read 'em in bed or when otherwise occupied. I also like a reference book handy when I am working, rather than breaking to another window to use an online version. And, yes, I generally read 'em cover to cover just to build my own mental Table of Contents for future use.

I am looking forward to it, and to V7.

If the new book is anything like the "in a snap" book, it will be an invaluable tool to have with the new software. Part of the reason I upgraded to 4 from 3 last time was it was initally advertised with some "great new features". It wasn't until later all the glitches seem to come out. I was motivated to update to stay current here with the forum and have the help I needed (though I learned later, it doesn't matter what version you have here, there is help always available). Will this book be beneficial for users who stay at the version 4? I have heardly broke that program in. Infact, I think I might just stick with 3 as I find it easier to work with....

"In a Snap" was more task-oriented. "The Muvipix Guide" will be more tool-oriented. A tour of every tool and how to use it -- with lots of cross-referencing so that you should be able to easily follow a task from beginning to end.

And, yes, there's plenty of overlap to version 4, since the interface isn't all that different. So, if you're stuck finding your way around 4, this should be a valuable guidebook.

And, lest Chuck let me get away with too much credit, he will be providing a whole host of new tutorials to help roll out the new version. So helping everyone get up and running is still a team project!
