Re: Coming soon -- The Muvipix Guide to Premiere Elements 7Minneapolis also has some of the best lutefisk in the country -- if you can use the words "best" and "lutefisk" in the same sentence.

Re: Coming soon -- The Muvipix Guide to Premiere Elements 7You must have had lutefisk made from cod. That's awfully strong smelling. Pollock or Haddock based lutefisk is much milder. I had a bit of that once and it had very little odor. Even so, I didn't much care for it. Definitely an acquired taste. But, I did enjoy the lefse. I especially like lefse with lingonberries. And once, on a trip to Oregon, I had ham and eggs rolled in lefse -- kind of like a Norwegian breakfast burrito.

It's very important to let cod lie in the water for 10 days before you prepare it. Then it will smell milder and taste better. And remenber to have boiled potatos, bacon and pea stew. And the season for it starts in november and lasts until Christmas. Svein
