Shortcut to move the CTI

Postby irispix » Thu Oct 14, 2010 1:45 pm

What's the shortuct to move the CTI to the beginning and the end of the sequence?
I have tried "Home" "End" "control+Home" etc to no avail.
It says to make the timeline active. I thought it be active if it has the orange frame.
Is it?

The standard shortcuts are Home to move to the beginning, End to move to the end, Page Up to move back one edit point, Page Down to move forward one edit point. No modify keys are used.

I'm not sure what's going on with your system. The standard shortcuts work for me (using Premiere Pro CS5). And, yes, the orange line around the panel indicates that it is selected and active.

I don't use Pro, but I might mention that the way that I make the timeline active in PrEl is to just find an empty spot in the timeline section of the window and click. If I'm trying to use the keys that you and Bob have mentioned and the CTI doesn't respond, all it takes is a mouse click.

Home and End will get you to the beginning or end of each timeline.

But, I believe, Page Up or Page Down will get you to the beginning or end of each clip on your timeline.
