Customise Video Transition

Postby GerryB » Wed May 15, 2013 11:57 am

Good evening all (UK time!),

I have been asked if I can modify the video transitions I use between clips to include the company logo and looking through all the transitions in CS5 (not on the cloud) I cannot see a way of adding the logo to 'appear' midway through the transition. (Something like you see in sports broadcasts).

Can it be done in CS5 or am I going to have to deliver some 'not good news'?

Many thanks,

Gerry

I don't know what that transition looks like, but you can place the logo on a track above the track with the transition and fade it in and out as needed. Won't that give you something like what you describe?

Hi Bob,

Yes, that is along the lines I'm think about. I was also thinking of taking the logo and setting it to a duration of 1s (25 frames) and then placing an 'in' transition set to 12 frames and an 'out' transition set to 12 frames above the logo. Then saving as a new file. That way I could drop the new file between clips with minimal effort....I only work on minimal effort these days!!

I'm open to all suggestions.

Many thanks,

Gerry
