Click to enable scaling gone?

Postby karri » Thu Oct 11, 2012 12:59 pm

In Premiere Pro CS3 and CS5.5 I could click on a video clip in the Program Monitor and the clip's bounding box would appear and I could scale the clip by dragging the corners of the bounding box. It doesn't work this way for me in PPro CS6. Is there a setting I need to change to enable this feature, do I have a bad install, or has it been discontinued?

I know I can click on the bounding box icon next to Motion in the Effect panel, but it's just faster from the Program Monitor.

Thanks for help :)

I just checked to verify the functionality in Premiere Elements 11 and it still works the same way as you describe Karri.
Let's hope they don't decide to remove this from Premiere Pro or Elements. I am also interested in the answer as I am interested in upgrading CS3 to CS6 before the upgrade option is gone ;)

The functionality is still there. You need to double click the video clip in the Program Monitor to get the bounding box.

Bob you are a genius Thank You!

Chuck, you will be amazed how fast CS6 is. It's different and a little to get used to but you make up a lot of time because you don't have to render to view your edits.

Thanks again smart Muvipix people :)

You can also click on the word "Motion" in the Effects controls tab to enable the wireframe.
