Can I export inside CS5.5?

Postby Matthew Max » Thu Feb 02, 2012 10:14 pm

It may sound silly, but I have PE 4 and PE 9 and I export inside those programs with the Share function, and I'm wondering if I can export similarly inside of Pro too.

It will let me export to Final Cut Pro.
I don't even know what that is, so maybe my problem overall is
that I have a lot to learn. It's just that I really do make hundreds of
videos and I keep thinking that that things I'm looking for should be
apparent. (But I am very impressed with this software.)

In CS3 I have to use Adobe Media Encoder, would imagine it is the same in 5.5
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

Premiere Pro does not have a share tab -- that is a simplified (and limited) interface for casual or consumer level users. But, it has extensive export capabilities that are far more flexible then Elements.

Keep in mind that you don't export projects, you export sequences. Select the sequence(s) you wish to export and select File>Export or press the keyboard shortcut CTRL+M. Set the export settings and click on the "queue" button to send it to the Media Encoder Queue.

It will let me export to Final Cut Pro. I don't even know what that is, so maybe my problem overall is that I have a lot to learn. It's just that I really do make hundreds of videos and I keep thinking that that things I'm looking for should be apparent.

Final Cut Pro (FCP) is a video editor by Apple for the Macintosh platform. It's becoming more common for Macintosh shops to use both Final Cut Pro and Premiere Pro and this option facilitates that by creating a FCP project file using the same sources and edits. Premiere Pro has a lot of depth and it will take time to learn, but, as you become more familiar with it, you will find it much easier to use and it will probably save you time and effort in the long run.

You should see a lot more export options than just export to FCP.

As always, there's nothing like the support a person can get on Muvipix.com.
