Here is what I get after bringing the cloned drive online and attempting to add a drive letter: I'm still confused. Your instructions are for cloing the source drive, however, I've already created the clone. My problem is that when I try to boot from it I get a flashing cursor. You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post. What I meant for you to do is try it again after formatting. If you have done that, and it still won't boot with the clone replacing the original drive, I suspect that you may have a problem with the drive.
