external hd filesI backed up my old computer with Easus using the uncompressed files method. My media files. Plugged in the external hd to the new computer. I can't open the backup .pbd file. I did install Easus on the new computer. Any suggestions?

Re: external hd filesI had to go in properties of the file and tell it to open with Windows Explorer. Duh This is day 2 of getting things set up and moving the old build to another room. Cable problems & keyboard snafu. All I want to do is shoot and edit, not this basic computer stuff which I have to muddle thru Thanks Sidd!

Re: external hd files
Yes well said!!! I have new gray hair I had cleaned up my media drive before the transfer and still hit a few snags. I did the drag and drop folder method so I could decide what I wanted to send over. The old computer is set up in the next room and will use that for AE and reference. There were a few little things that all of you could do in your sleep, but I would google and then take care of the little things. Funny after a few things I realized I spent 15 minutes searching and learning and 2 minutes actually doing something. On my old build I used Word Starter. What I have been researching it is no longer available and won't work on W10. Anyone use Apache Open Office? Trying to figure out an alternative to the subscription plan. aka Cheryl

Re: external hd files
I've used it for years starting back when it was just called Open Office and hadn't been transferred to Apache yet. It's a solid office suite but hasn't been getting the developer support it used to. Latest update is version 4.1.7 released last September. You might want to take a look at LibreOffice instead. This is similar to Apache OpenOffice as both are basically descendants from the original OpenOffice.org code base. But currently LibreOffice has much more development activity (probably the most active of all the open source Office suites) and has more features.

Re: external hd filesThanks again Bob for the LibreOffice. I downloaded and it opens my labels, etc. Looks like Open Office that I was using.
