I think "Oh It Is Love" by Hellogoodbye would be a good song in snippets for pre-ceremony shots of the couple and guests getting ready. You can listen to it here http://www.hellogoodbyeuk.com/listen.php

At my brothers wedding, I used a couple of Van Morrison's songs that I like. I used "Did Ye Get Healed?" for shots of the guests boarding the ship and the cocktail party while the ship left the dock. I also used "Someone Like You" for the pre-ceremony gathering at the bow of the ship and the bride entering and making her way to the bow; then faded it out as the ceremony began. You can listen to snippets of both songs here http://www.vanmorrison.co.uk/?m=Content ... (record_id)=b2950180e54389f3cf9d93ad908ac00e#

Two of my favs are:

"Wishin n Hopin" - Ani Difranco (My Best Friends Wedding soundtrack)
Short sample from Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/gp/music/wma-pop-up/B000002BYG001002/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_002/105-1088938-2187643

"True Companion" - Marc Cohn (March Cohn album)
Short sample from Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/gp/music/wma-pop-up/B000002IQI001011/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_011/105-1088938-2187643

The short samples really don't do the songs justice (specially True Companion). The whole songs are better than these two snippets.

PS First post. I came to this site off a Google search for PE4 and saw the forum. I got some good info, specially in this thread, so I thought I'd contribute.

Hasn't been much activity on this thread in a while, so...

Just wanted to mention how great Jim Brickman's "If You Believe" is for weddings, or general family oriented slideshows, or any slow, emotional sequence.

On the Windham Hill Wedding Album, and his If You Believe album also.

I keep resisting the urge to re-use it too often.

Two C&W songs that are pretty good even though I don't normally care for the artists are:

I Give - Willie Nelson & Shawn King
One Minute Past Eternity - Jerry Lee Lewis

I also like

Memories That Last - Ray Price and Faron Young

Mary Lou
