So here is the first list of music suggestions... for Graduations since many may be editing their graduation videos right now (or I could be a little late so save for next year)
Hold on Tight - ELO
Where are you going - Dave Matthews Band
Beautiful Day - U2
Unwritten - Natasha Benningfield
Graduation Day - Chris Issak
I Believe I can Fly - r. Kelly
Fly - Sugar Ray
Fly - Hillary Duff
Born to Fly - Sara Evans
You Were Born for This - Tremelo
On Saturdays Afternoons in 1963 - Rickie Lee Jones
Life is a Highway - Rascall flats or Tom cochran
Remember Me - Bo Bice
This is My Time - Raven-Symon
Breakaway - Kelly Clarkson
Goodbye To You - Michelle Branch
Only TIme - Enya
Remind Me - Royksopp (the song from the Geico airport commercial)
So that's a start....
My new artist suggestion ... for anyone who likes Jack Johnson check out
Donovan Frankenreiter...
Stay Young is a great tune for video but he's got a lot of good stuff.
Anyone in need of music for a video, here's your chance to get help with music. Suggest the type of video you need for and it could be the next one.
Enjoy the Music.
Happy Editing,
Beth

What a thoughtful idea, Beth! I'm just starting three different videos right now .. and sort of forgot how much time I spend just picking the music!

Well, the song you use all depends who you're creating the video for. If it's for the graduate, they'll like
Graduation by Vitamin C
Photograph by Nickelback
It's So Hard to Say Goodby by Boyz to Men
Here's to the Night by Eve6
Time of Your Life by GreenDay (only if it's their first graduation like elementary school. Otherwise it's already been done before)
Some other ones if it's for the parents:
In My Daughter's Eyes by LeeAnn Womak
Forever Young by Rod Stewart

Ron, How about putting music ideas in its own seperate place in the forum. Then we could have topics for various music needs.

Thnx Beth for the suggestions and great idea claysand to have a space for music idas.
Love the Unwritten song. And the Green Day, Time of Your Life was written as sarcasm per my youngest, so she may think I was being sarcastic.
Great ideas! Now how about tennis/sports music suggestions?

Time of Our Lives - Paul Van Dyk.
Anyone want to start another video type? Would also love to hear what everyone else is listening too (not just for videos).
Happy Editing,

You mean nobody mentioned Alice Cooper's "School's Out" yet?
Nothing wrong with a little cynicism once in a while too, you know.

We're Going to Be Friends - White Stripes
This would be good for a kid's group special event too..like camp, church friends, H.S. days, etc.
