motion backround lost motion

Postby hpharley90 » Sun Feb 03, 2008 1:17 pm

I brought a 48 minute Christmas project into Encore CS3.
I started out by making a main menu and scene menu.
I used a Blank Menu HD from the General catagory found in the Encore library for both Main and Scene menus.
I named them in the properties panel accordingly.
I brought in as assets backrounds tvhd0114.mov and tvhd0109 that I got from here at muvipix.com.

Altered some buttons and then placed them.
I burned a disc and everything worked very good but I noticed I wanted to fix a couple of buttons.

So I opened the project and did what I had to do and when I went to preview I lost all motion in the backrounds.
I deleted backround video from menu properties panel then cleared from project panel then saved.
Closed Encore.
Reopened Encore project then brought in video backround again from Bridge.
I have video as backround again but I cannot get motion from them. Just the audio. :-k
Thanks
Richard

Hi Richard,

Did you also select "Render Motion Menus" after any changes you made to them!

Hope it helps!

I had the same problem on a recent project, Richard. Lee's advice to render the preview is the correct answer. Click "File->Render->Motion Menus" and your preview should work. Alternatively, you can render from the "Preview" window as well; there's a button at the bottom left that looks like 2 fuzzy circles with an arrow coming off the right... if it turns red when the cursor is over it, you need to click it to render.

You both hit the nail right on the head.
Thanks a bunch.
I didn't know about that. But I'm sure glad I do now. :-D :-D

I would never had figured that out on my own. Thanks for this forum.
Thanks
Richard
