Discussions on third party software for the final creation of DVD including Nero, Roxio, DVD Architect, Magix, Ulead, etc...

I've heard different things about whether it's safe to use something like a Sharpie permanent marking pen to write on the top of a DVD. Does anyone know if there's a real difference between a pen like that and something like a solvent-free marking pen? Thanks!

I thought that Sharpies were the recommended pen to use because they are solvent free. I have always used a Sharpie.

I agree with Robert. I've never had a problem with a disc I've written on with a Sharpie.

Thanks for your replies. Have you had the Sharpie-marked discs for a long time?
