Tips for color correction

Postby Maxine370 » Tue Aug 14, 2007 6:47 am

ANybody have any tips to correct color when auto color isn't cutting it.

I have a video with awful color (outdoor it's over saturated and too green and indoor the light is too low), that's being intermixed with stills from the same event. The stills are perfectly colored (they are professional and probably color fixed) and I tried to use color match but don't really know the best way.

ANy tips and help would be much appreciated.
Happy Editing,

Beth

Robert Johnson came up with a great technique. Take a look at this:

I used the warming filter #85 as an example, but you can use any color. If you have Photoshop, you can get the color values of the various filters.
