Maybe this is known, but I didn't realize it so here goes...
I knew that you could drag and drop your music from iTunes into Premiere Elements (PE), as long as it is MP3 or WAV format (basically, not the iTunes proprietary format), but what I didn't discover until the other day is that I can drag and drop my pictures from the Photoshop Elements (PSE) organizer into PE!
If I have PSE and PE open, I can highlight the picture(s) I want from PSE organizer thumbnails and drag them to the Media Panel in PE. For me this helps in being able to organize what I want in PSE and then drag them to PE. Before I would load a ton of pictures in the Media Panel by the Get Media command. Once in PE then I would hunt and peck for the picture I wanted to bring down to the timeline.

Great tip and a great time save. This is when having two monitors really comes in handy.

True. I guess once you have 2 monitors set up you forget what life is like with just one. You are correct. I have 2 monitors and that definetly makes this process easier.

2 monitors is nice. I just hooked mine up after reading Steve's article and they work great.

Did you know that you can drag and drop text files into the the Available Media bin? When you double-click on the icon, it will open up in notepad.

Another great tip, Robert!
Does the text come in with a transparent background, like a title? Do you change the color of the text in Premiere Elements or in Notepad?
(Yeah, I suppose I could check this out myself...and I eventually will...)

The text file isn't something you can drag to the timeline. I presume it's intended for keeping notes about the project "attached" to the project.
