freeze frame with photoshop edit queston

Postby Sara J. » Wed Jun 13, 2007 3:30 pm

I have taken a freeze frame from my video and then I have edited in photoshop. Basically I have cut out the main image and deleted the background. When I place the photoshop image backinto the timeline, it has changed in size and scale. How can I keep the exact same size and scale so if I were to overlap both the freeze frame and the photoshop image that both would be in the exact place and not have a slight distortion in size.

thanks,
Sara

Hi Sara,
You probably have the 'Default Scale to Frame Size' box checked.
Go to Edit/Preferences/General and uncheck the box (located at bottom).
Import your image again and it should be fine ;)

Also check how Premiere Elements is interpreting the pixel aspect ratio of the edited file. Right-click on the media thumbnail in the Available Media panel, select Interpret Footage, then change pixel aspect ratio from 1.0 to 0.9 (for NTSC).

The Interpret Footage is what worked. Thank you. I was working so hard to match things up and I couldn't get it back to perfect. I should have asked you guys sooner.

thank you.
