Adding New Clips Without Overlap or Gap

Postby Manatee Man » Sat May 04, 2024 2:54 pm

By default in Premiere Elements, when you add a new clip, the beginning of the new clip connects to the end of the previous clip: As the new clip approaches the previous clip, the clip appears to be magnetically attracted to the previous clip's end point.
I've apparently changed a setting, because in my current project, that no longer occurs. Now the new clip may be added with a slight gap or overlap between it and the previous clip. There is no magnetic attraction. How can I return the project settings to the program's default to provide this assistance? Thanks in advance.

Go to the Premiere Elements Timeline menu (at the top of the program) and ensure Snap is enabled.

Enabling Snap solved my issue. I'm back in business. Thank you very much!
