If you need to convert a video from 30 fps to 24 fps and you have Prodad ReSpeedr, you might like the results better than with Sony Vegas Pro, for example.
Normally I use Sony Vegas Pro 12 to do the conversion, but after seeing the better results with Respeedr, I'm doing things over.
In Respeedr you don't slow down or speed up video, for which ReSpeedr is normally used, but you edit the fps. On the Target Media tab, you click on the "edit..." text button, which pops up a window where you can select the new frame rate. You also need to select the high-quality Sub-Frame Mode by clicking the little orange circle with the plus sign. After that you can export. Note that ReSpeedr does not handle audio, so you will have to match up the exported video from ReSpeedr to the audio in your video editor.
The video on Vimeo comparing the results of Prodad ReSpeedr over Sony Vegas Pro 12 shows that ReSpeedr creates cleaner lines. You should view the video in full screen, 1920 x 1080. At lower resolutions you may not see any difference.
