Title Ideas

Postby momoffduty » Thu Jan 10, 2013 1:16 pm

Two title ideas using Muvipix motion backgrounds & the Flower element. The backgrounds are at times overpowering and found another way to tone them down using a gradient white psd file. The second example I added the Tint effect to match the background. Each track appears in stacking order starting with track 1.

It is in the gallery & for some reason I can't embed. HD video exported as SD widescreen. Mods help?

Good tip!

Those particular motion backgrounds are rather fast though and draw my attention away from the subject material. I would recommend slowing those motion backgrounds down.

I agree with Bob. In fact, I don't remember the last time that I used one of those backgrounds without slowing it down by at least 50%. Very nicely done though Cheryl.

Yes, I agree those backgrounds need to be slowed down! :ha: There are a ton of nice HD backgrounds and I have tried a few ways in the past to tone them down by a blur or lowering the opacity. Using the psd gradient file is a new way for me. I'll be glad to share the psd gradient file if there is interest.

The flower element is repositioned lower and added the feather effect. Looking at the elements in the products section there is a confetti that would would work for a party, graduation, birthday, etc.

If anyone has any other edits for the backgrounds, please add on to this thread. I'm always on the look out for new ideas. :-D

EDIT: Looks like the embedded player cuts off the right hand side. :conf:

I like to use the background templates available in Photoshop Elements. When get really fancy, I customize them with specific icons also available in PSE. Here is an example:

I like the paper texture Gerlinde & icons! Did you use overlay mode on the icons?

Hi Cheryl, I don't know if you have PSE. It comes with hundreds of different backgrounds. Those alone are worth the money for the program. I usually start out with a new document and choose one of the film & video presets like 720p or NTSC widescreen. I choose one of the backgrounds and fill the document. The one I used is called Plaster. Now you can choose from the Graphics category and apply as many as you like. Each graphic is on its own layer, so you can also apply effects to them or change the opacity.
I made also one where I used special Brushes, that I found on the internet:

Travel-Stamps.jpg

You use the brush like a stamp with different colors and each on its own layer. The background is called Old Paper Brown.

I like the 2nd one too. I still have PSE5 on my old computer for the graphics. Too bad PS doesn't ship with graphics. I pillage from the DVD templates too. Brushes are one area that I have only downloaded a few. One set was fractal that makes streaks. That is one more thing on my to-do list. :-8
