Hi Gail,
What do you mean by "loop" exactly?
Different people have very different definitions for what that means in video.
What are you trying to accomplish?
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

I have a very short clip that the client would like to stretch out be be longer. I have extended the time by slowing it down by 40%, but just wondered if there was some sort of trick I didn't know about.

Is this a DVD or some other format? There are ways to make things loop, just wondering what format the final video will be in. Are you using Premiere Elements?
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

I am using premiere elements 4 (my favorite), and it's only a tiny clip I need looped for the end of an hour long documentary type show.

To to loop a video you repeat it over and over. But that isn't what you are describing. Do you actually want to repeat some part of your video at the end? That would be a loop. If you want to slow it down so that it plays slower or longer that is another effect altogether.

You can't make it loop indefinitely but you can copy the clip and paste it to the timeline over and over again, as many times as you want it to loop.
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.

If you have DVDAS you could easily do that.

But the OP says: "stretch out be be longer". Boy is that a vague statement. But that doesn't sound like she wants to repeat it like a loop does.

Guess we will have to wait till she explains exactly what she wants to do.

Well- what I wanted to do was just repeat it like a loop. But that seems like it was too complicated. It's only a tiny little clip that gets inserted at the end of an hour long movie, just after the credits.
I've ended up putting a few of the same clips back to back and changing the speed as well as reversing it once.
It was a "blooper" clip for a 50th anniversary of a curling club that gets put in after the credits- where a guy slides on the ice and falls down.
Guess there's no good way to do what I was originally asking about, but thanks.
