Odd behavior re: adding tags, categories, etc.

Hello all and happy Saturday!

Well, I'm starting to organize some images with Version 9.0 Photoshop Elements, but when I go to click "Add Category" or "Add Subcategory" or "Add Keyword Tag" sometimes the window pops up and the cursor appears in the field where I should enter the name...but the cursor doesn't blink and I can't enter text.

I can move the dialogue box around...and cancel out of it. Then if I click "Add category" again, it's fine.

It's just frustratingly slowing down my workflow as I have to:

"Add category"
"Cancel"
"Add category"
Type in text...

In fact, it just seems like v 9.0 lags a bit anyway... and I have a fairly powerful system so I'm just wondering if this is typical 9.0 behavior and I just have to get used to that workflow I mentioned above?

I'm seeing that too, Ted! It's intermittent -- and if I cancel the dialog window and try again it usually works.

But it is strange, and I'm not sure what to do about it.

That's okay... I'm just thankful I'm not

a) alone and
2) losing my mind!

Not unless we're both crazy -- and then at least you're not alone!

That makes 3 of us that are crazy. I also see it intermittently. I use the same workaround Steve suggested.
