marquee tool

Hi All,

I have come across this strange problem. When I go to use the marquee tool, all I get up is
the screen shot attached.
Question where is the other two parts. Hubby has the program installed on his computer
and the result is the same. I have looked for answers everywhere but have come up with no solution.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what may have happened.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

That's all there is. You must be thinking of Photoshop CS, which has a marquee for a single row or column of pixels.

What two parts are you referring to? Photoshop CSx has a single row and single column marquee tool in addition to the rectangular and elliptical marquee tools. But, Photoshop Elements only has the rectangular and elliptical marquee tools. Perhaps you are thinking of one of the other selection tools. If you can describe what you're looking for it would help us to help you.

Hi Guys

I have both, used to it in CS5, for some unknown reason thought I had seen it in 10.
No problems thanks so much.
