Using PSE Backgrounds for Business Card?

Postby Gerlinde » Mon Nov 14, 2011 4:31 pm

I am in the process of designing a business card for myself. I would like to use some of the design elements and backgrounds in PSE. Do I violate any copy rights in doing so?
I'm not able to find the specific rules applying to content in the program, does anyone know?

From the EULA:

"2.8 Content Files. Unless stated otherwise in the “Read-Me” files or other license(s) associated with the
Content Files, which may include specific rights and restrictions with respect to such materials, you may
use, display, modify, reproduce, and distribute any of the Content Files. However, you may not distribute
the Content Files on a stand-alone basis (i.e., in circumstances in which the Content Files constitute the
primary value of the product being distributed), and you may not claim any trademark rights in the
Content Files or derivative works thereof."

Sounds like you would be OK.

Thank you so much, Bob! I'm always getting paranoid about these things. I will only distribute a small number of cards, but I guess it does not really matter.
