How do they do it?

Talk about slideshow creation, whether it's with Premiere and/or Photoshop Elements or a third party helper application.

How do they do it?

Does anyone know what software is used to make these "flicks", and can it be saved in a format that Elements will recognize?

Sid, I have been a member of that picturetrail for quite some time, and had even forgotten about it till I got an e-mail from them.

What I am interested in is actually finding out if anyone knows what software is used to product the effects on the still pics. And can the files be utilized by Elements? When I view the "flicks" I have personalized with my own photos and right click to see if it can be saved, the popup is about Adobe Flash Player.

When I Googled it I found: Flash Video files have a .FLV file extension. I have seen those in our own gallery. Considering that I am in the early stages of learning Elements... is this a whole new can of worms I'm not ready for or is it something relatively easy?

Cinde, without having to join the site can you explain to us what the effect is? Is there some way you can show us a sample? If I have to I will check out the site but I really don't like joining sites just for a one time look.

I went to the link and clicked on (click here to view Sample Flicks).

Is that the type of slide show effects your talking about?
Thanks
Richard

Chuck, Samples can be viewed (without joining) at: http://www.picturetrail.com/photoFlick/ ... icks.shtml

Richard, I especially like the Rotating Glass with the sparkles, and assume all effects can be done with the same software. Some of them have interactive clickable buttons for web use. I'm not interested in that for a DVD, but the effects without clicking are eye-catching.

I also remember the mess I got into when trying to do a cube with DebugMode Wax, which several of you helped me solve when I first became a member. We definitely don't want to go there again, do we?????

I like some of the transitions myself.

I have never seen many of them either!
Thanks
Richard

From what I have seen I think all of that can be created with After Effects. There are also various Slide Show programs that include things like this too.
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
