Well I am recovering from our Patriots loss last weekend. My name is Theresa and I've been creating videos for about 4 years. Believe it or not I started with Powerpoint! I used the Crystal graphics plugins to create the effects and ran the presentation from my computer to my television and taped it on VCR! Wow, how sad . After that I graduated to Pinnacle 9 - although I loved the transitions I always had trouble with the program and soon I worked with Roxio all the time. I mostly created still videos with music and the first one was my step-daughter's 16th birthday. I've done alot since then. I volunteered to do a school video each year for my son's school and now I create one each year. I've also done a few each year for paying customers (isn't that nice . But I really like to use it to create videos of trips I've taken or family events. This year I decided to work with live video instead of stills. I looked at many packages and I found adobe to be the best for me! I must say I'm really impressed and everyone has been extremely helpful. I have a part-time and full-time job but I still spend a crazy amount of time on these videos. I'm glad that others are as obsessed as me. It make me feel better! Nice to be here!

Welcome Theresa! You've come a long way. me too... I did my very first slideshows in Powerpoint as well. I remember thinking there's gotta be a better way ... Eventually found Premiere Elements.

Welcome Theresa! There are many people here who can answer just about any question. You have come a long way with projects and the school one sounds fun. Since you are new to Premiere Elements, I would suggest getting the PE2 in a Snap book. Doesn't matter on the version, the concepts are the same. Plus the authors are right here to answer questions. There are some great tutorials here too.
Again, Welcome!

HI Everyone: ] Well the name comes from a store that my husband and I opened back in 1994. We sold 22 flavors of slush (the kind you scoope with a spoon and put in a cup). We were a little slush/candy store and went on to sell bagels and sandwiches as well. Unfortunately in New England it's not the easiest thing to make a go of a Slush store so we had to close in 1996. But it was quite a great experience and I always use that name for things (my fond memories). Maybe someday there will be another Slushparlor Theresa

Slushparlors or "snow cone" stands as we call them are very popular down here in south Texas. Hmm... wonder why?
