If you have seen this thread you know that Jennifer has had her equipment stolen viewtopic.php?p=28340#p28340Jennifer is a charter member of Muvipix, one of the very first to join on Mon Feb 19, 2007 5:28 pm Jennifer won the People's Choice Award earlier this year for her great Hawkeye Heros video. She has been a wonderful addition to the Muvipix family and is always here to lend a hand. Jennifer is also the wife of an active duty serviceman, mother to two young children and taking college classes at the same time. Getting your Masters I believe, aren't you Jennifer And they just recently moved too (If I got any of the details wrong please correct me) She lost a digital SLR and a new Canon HV20, probably at least $1200 USD worth of equipment not including the bag and what ever else was in there. Ron will be adding a 'Donation' link to this topic tomorrow (TODAY). Thanks Ron All donations will go straight to Jennifer, 100%. Any amount you can afford will be appreciated and helpful I'm sure. Muvipix will also be donating as a way of saying thank you for all you do Jennifer Once we have all of the donations we will transfer the whole thing to Jennifer's PayPal account, give what you can but please give something

What a wonderful gesture, Chuck! And such a great way to remind ourselves that Muvipix is a genuine community.

This is an awesome idea! As Helen Keller said, (I'm sure I'm paraphrasing).. "Nobody can do everything, but everybody can do something." Glad to help a fellow MuviPixer!

Hi Everyone I received a Private Message from Jennifer thanking us for our generosity and kindness. She informed me that her insurance company has reimbursed her for some of the loss, but not all. Me in my ultimate wisdom of course jumped the gun and posted before thinking, and finding out all of the facts If anyone that has donated so far would like a refund please send me a private message. It will be just between you and me and there will be no hard feelings. Now, I (and Muvipix) still plan on helping to try and make up the difference (about $600) plus whatever else we can put together. Most of us are grandparents here, or at least parents, and remember what it was like trying to raise a family. Sometimes money comes in and you have to use it for paying bills instead of what we would like to use it for. Let's see how much we can put together to help out and get Jennifer some new equipment I am so impressed with her honesty, and all of the members here. This is such a great community where everyone treats each other well and helps each other out in many ways. We should all be very proud of what we do here ! Now let's get those donations rolling in

Hello, I have difficulty expressing how touched I am by the generosity and thoughtfulness of this thread. You guys are just amazing, and its really cool to know (in this town where I know almost no one) that friendship really has nothing to do with geography.
Thank you Chuck and everyone! I won't forget how nice this made me feel. It more than makes up for how that thief made me feel.
Sincerely, Jennifer
Jennifer Currently the owner of an embarrassingly slow system, hoping that will change!

You've given a lot to our little community of videomakers, Jennifer. This is a chance for us to give back.
