OK, I was a little late on the Christmas wish but I had to be off my computer for a few weeks and am just barely using it now. Here's my greeting card (thanks to Cheryl for providing me directions on how to post a few years ago - Thanks Cheryl!!) Re: Merry Christmas and Happy New YearWe had a full house Christmas. First time in over a decade both daughters and their families here on Christmas Day, actually that evening. Fun time with all of the grands. The youngest grand at 6 months took it all in with her cousins. A few days later Mr Dad & I got that cruel stomach bug. The rest of the family were spared thankfully. What a way to ring in the new year! Maybe we should have a do-over.

Re: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Thanks Cheryl! The photo is my favorite from my first volunteer gig in Katmai NP back in 2019. It's actually one of several I took of a first-time mom and her 2 male spring cubs. What doesn't appear in the crop of this photo are the paws of an approaching bear. The series of photos includes one of the family group and the entire body of the approaching bear, as well as several shots of the mom and her cubs running away. Shortly after my first trip to Katmai I put together a spiral bound photo book of "bear wisdom" and included this photo with the caption, "Surprises could be just around the corner." When Christmas came it was a no-brainer to use the photo for the New Year part of my card. It's easy to go back into PSE and change the year so I can use it again. If I remember correctly, the bow was actually a butterfly shape from PSE that i flipped upside down. Glad you liked it!! I've got 3 trips worth of photos and video and, except for the wisdom photo book, I've done almost nothing with what I shot. One of these days I hope to be inspired.
Re: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
Love the behind the scenes view! You put so much fun into your shoots!
Re: Merry Christmas and Happy New YearSherrin, creative to use an upside down butterfly as the bow. Need to remember that trick! I hear you on photos and video unedited. I have Mexico video that is waiting for me. Usually once a year I'll print some of the grands photos and add to their photo book. That I'm behind by a year. I was gifted a photo frame for xmas and haven't added many photos yet.
The pups got lost in the set this year. With the large truck it worked for families. As a hobby I take photos for family and friends. Some of the props I made, thrifted or friends gave me. My first photo set years ago was a sheet draped over a projection screen with white lights. So much easier with the frame and backdrops. That bear photo is very good catch! Great timing! aka Cheryl
