Re: muvipix New Stuff ! (November 2007)It all works with all versions, just using the latest technology for the tutorial that's all
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.
2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
Re: muvipix New Stuff ! (November 2007)That's what I wanted to hear .. thanks, Chuck!
Re: muvipix New Stuff ! (November 2007)Another question .. I notice all the new motion backgrounds are in Quicktime (mov) format. Better to convert into dv-avi before bringing into PE (I'm using V2)?
Re: muvipix New Stuff ! (November 2007)Those files work great with PE. Just do a quick render when adding them to the timeline. No need to convert prior to importing.

Re: muvipix New Stuff ! (November 2007)I didn't really think you were just looking to give us more things to do, Ron But if I make any changes, keyframes, etc to those clips .. does it add more render time when burning than if they were avi's. Just wondering about the technical aspect.
Re: muvipix New Stuff ! (November 2007)We tested them quite heavily and Premiere Elements handles them very well and with no additional resource requirements that we are aware of.
If you notice any problems Jayell please let us know. I only tested two of the backgrounds in any one project, not sure what would happen if you added 20 or more They are the proper size for video so it isn't like adding a bunch of oversized still images at 8mp or something. 1. Re: muvipix New Stuff ! (November 2007)jayell, I used the 2 new tennis backgrounds and changed the brightness & opacity each time and it did not take longer to render. Used the green one at the beginning and the red one for each title. Looks good, thanks for the tennis backgrounds!

Re: muvipix New Stuff ! (November 2007)Thanks, mom.
I don't usually use more than one or two at a time anyway Chuck, so I'm sure it wouldn't be significant .. just curious
Re: muvipix New Stuff ! (November 2007)jayell, thanks too about the tip of changing the opacity level, like you did with the tennis net background. Hadn't really thought about that before.

Re: muvipix New Stuff ! (November 2007)Forgot to say earlier, thanks for the new tutorials. Always learn something new. The free tutorial "converting WMV to DV-AVI" viewed online is the photoshop elements tutorial.
