I will be the first to admit that getting video is not my strong suit and most of my stuff is for friends & family. Hopefully I remembered to get the special moment shots. With only one camcorder it was a day of running around. Regret not getting more closeups and angle shots. This was my first wedding (only maybe) and remembering to get all of the shots & the sun, the power of 3rds, etc. Too much. The family is a close friend and are happy with anything since they could not budget a videographer. They all loved the highlight. When the ceremony started I got the shot of the groom and ran around the back of the gazebo to get a shot from the other side & the bride. Ran back around the gazebo to climb on the chair for the ceremony. (The video in between which will be edited out, reminds me of Blair Witch footage ) Hindsight, wished I had 2 camcorders, used a clamp for the rail during the ceremony since I couldn't use a tripod, a steady cam for the flowing shots. Feedback welcome.

Hi Cheryl. My only comments concern the shot of the roses near the beginning of the sequence and the shot of the flower arrangement inside the marquee. Because they are handheld shots of a static scene and there is no other movement the fact that they are handheld shows up, particularly with the rose vase against the table in the background. I would use a 'stabilisation effect' to hold those two shots still. Other than that, everything looked fine. HTH.

In reference to John's comments, it is always best to add movement if there is none. As in the shot of the vase it would be better to do a very slow wrap around for even a few inches. Just to add some movement to the shot.

Thanks for the tips Chuck & John. May replace the rose clip or stabilize. Still working on stabilizing the ceremony clip using the tips by Bob & Paul on another thread.

You know, when I mentioned a picnic table I meant something that you could stand on with a tripod. Didn't know you would only be able to use a chair to stand on. Aren't weddings fun ?

Nice work, Cheryl (as always!). I like the fast dip to black cut to the music on the medium to close up shot of the groom, cool!

I really wasn't sure on the fast dips, 7 frames. Good to know. During that section video sped up each time would have been good, but didn't have anyone walking. Chuck, a picnic table with a tripod would have been great. Had to use the monopod and a clamp or those claw like short tripods would have worked. 3 Cameras??? I did run a marathon that day.
