I visited a deer park near Sandringham in the UK recently. I was struck by the fact that these creatures are almost constantly on the move. I sat still with my back to a tree and waited to see if they would come close. Sure enough after a while they would move in. Then a walker or a dog or even other photographers would appear and they would be on the move again. Thats why this short film is called.
Time to move on.

Very nicely done. They're very beautiful animals. Too bad they're so stupid about dealing with vehicles out in the real world. Liked the music, too. It went well with the subject matter. Was this taken with a hi-def camcorder?

Thanks Cinde / Dave for your comments. It was taken with an HD camera but actually shooting in SD mode. It was then output in HD720p. I find this workflow gives me the best possible video quality on Youtube.

That really is beautiful work!
I don't think I've ever seen a large herd of deer like that! Amazing! (Even cooler to see you and the photographer shooting pictures of each other over the deer.)

Hi Chuck My camera is a Sony TG7VE details here http://www.sony.co.uk/product/cam-high-definition-on-memory-stick/hdr-tg7ve I don't recommend it as its very restrictive in what you can do. I shot approximately 25 minutes of footage. The film is 2 minutes as its going to be a segment of a larger trip movie. Edit As for upload to youtube. I edit using the Flash / hard disk standard widescreen SD project setting. I de-interlace all of my clips on the timeline, then I export using Mpeg HD720p 25 PAL. This gets rid of any jaggies in the output and looks best for me on youtube. I could have shot AVCHD but being on a long trip I chose to use SD so I could get more video in the camera.

Did you use a tripod? The video is very steady.

Very nice. We have a similiar place near my house, but you can't go on the grounds because it's a secure government facility. You can watch them from the road though.

Yes, very nice Shrimp!
But I can assure you that they do stand still - when eating your flowers and shrubs!

They also stand still in the middle of the roadway -- in the glare from your approaching headlights.
