This is a 4 min slideshow of a trip my kids and some of our friends make to Manhattan each year for the Rockefella Center Christmas Tree, although the tree doesn't show up in the show too many times. The fill in pictures are window scenes from the Lord and Taylor department store. When I get the time and can edit them down in size I'll post some of my other slideshows, but they're from 30min to 115min so I have to remove a lot of the "fat" and see what size they are after the edit, so, someday. Any critisim or ideas are greatly welcomed, that's why I joined Muvipix, to improve my "game".

Great job! I liked the softness of the piece. Did you use a track matte or did you cut out the pics in photoshop?

Hi! Cheryl, Thanks for the compliment. I did the pics in Photoshop. Unfortunately I took them in 16x9. If I had taken them in 4:3 they would have been framed differently and I probably would have been able make them all nice and round for a better fit on the ornament, but oh well, lesson learned. Thanks again.

I liked the pics because they were not nice and round. You could see parts of the ornament and it has a nice effect.

HI! Steve, HI! Jamal Thanks to both of you for the "well done". I have a question, this little slideshow was 53meg Avi, I exported it in PreEl 2 to WMV with all the default setting for "cable/dsl" and the result was a 16meg WMV. Now, in the forum here, it looks good at 320x240 but at full screen it looks terrible, is that normal? This is the first video I've posted, so I don't know what to expect. Thanks again Dennis

HI! Cheryl I know what you mean by letting more of the ornament show through, but in some of the pictures I thought it looked more like an eyeball. Dennis

Yes it's normal When you are exporting it to wmv your are heavily compressing it, the advantage is that it's manageable file size for websites, but you lose quality.

Dennis - very, very nice. It''s hard to see all the detail on a small screen but the proportions looked really good. By the way, it's 'Rockefeller'.

Very nice. I would suggest adding some "twinkle" to the lights in the display just to break-up the background image now and then.
