From last year's Alaska trip. Unfortunately, my left arm is in the way sometimes (back in the days when it wasn't broken - haha). Shot on my GoPro H3 Black...I used the head strap mount attached to my helmet. You can hear when i sometimes bumped the camera housing into the gear. I hope you enjoy it! THE MUSIC IS BY RON!!!!!!! And it may not play in HD here. Not sure why.

Great footage Sherrin! The trees were a little close and the bridge too narrow! The in person view must have been spectacular

Wow pretty fantastic. Awesomely cool and scary at the same time. I think in terms of storytelling the left arm shot was foreshadowing of events to come. Sidd

Thanks everyone! I included the part at about 2:00 minutes where I decided to pedal my feet for fun (in a Momoffduty sort of move)...I think it slowed me down, 'cuz I didn't quite make it to the platform and had to haul myself to get there! "Oh shame!!!" But if you look closely, you'll see those are my awesome/dangerous Merrell Siren hiking boots on my feet! If any of you get the Destination channel on your television, one of our zipline guides will be on an episode of "Buying Alaska" tonite. In the "Cabin Upgrade" episode, Christy & her husband decide to upgrade from a "dry" cabin to something with running water. I first saw part of the episode a few months after we got back - i missed the beginning where they introduce the people and kept thinking that she looked familiar - finally figured it out! momoffduty wrote:Great footage Sherrin! The trees were very close and the 3 bridges we crossed were fairly narrow, for sure! Very spectacular view, except McKinley can be seen from one of the platforms if clouds aren't in the way...it was cloudy that day - bummer! sidd finch wrote:...I think in terms of storytelling the left arm shot was foreshadowing of events to come. Toooooo funny Sidd! Steve Grisetti wrote:Cool video, Sherrin -- with some very effective music! I love how it all builds!
This was the perfect choice for music - thanks again to Ron!!! I tried several pieces and was so happy to find this! Gerlinde wrote:Sherrin, I'm really jealous, you always have such great adventures on your trips. Thanks for sharing the video!
And, unfortunately, I sometimes have great trips on my adventures! I think you have to go back Gerlinde - Alaska is too big to enjoy just once!

Loved the beginning titles and the music, looks like great fun. I think Sidd is right about the arm premonition...

Loved how the editing of visuals and music created create moments in the video definitely greater than the sum of its parts. If I hadn't wanted to do some ziplining before, I do now.
Thanks, Todd
