My wife is training for a half-marathon, and I used that as a reason to try out my new SteadyTracker with my GH4. The video is about 2 min long, and Mom you will be glad to know there are lots of "feet" shots. The video was shot in 4k and edited in a 1080p timeline in FCPX. There are four options for stabilization built into FCPX, and I used the "InertiaCam" choice as it produced the least visually "swimming" footage. (There are other knobs to turn in the options, but I haven't played with them yet.) I looked at a few different "look up tables" (LUTs) but I didn't like how the footage looked with them, so I ended up correcting the color manually. The title of the video comes from the T-shirt my wife recently bought that describes one reason why she runs. I had to listen to a lot of music before I found this track. Searching for music is interesting. You can't describe what you are looking for, but you know it when you hear it! Overall I like this little video a lot. I hope you do too!

Great little video, Ron! It will be fun to watch her progress, if you'd like to share it with us -- and we'd especially like to see her in the actual run!
I especially liked the running shots, where the camera is moving right alongside her.

Bravo! Well done. What dedication. Five miles. whew!
I too liked the sense of 'time has passed - we'll jump to here' at :44 and :48.
The running closeups seemed to be the best footage from your steady cam. I think the farther distance may magnify movement, the same way a long lens does.
Congrats to both of you!

Ron that was good. I liked it. You are a champion to get your spouse to agree to be filmed .....and not give you a disgusted look while you are filming.... I will stick to insects.... Sidd

Wonderful Ron! I liked the mix of shots and the fades of her coming down the street. Feet shots good too! Very good steadicam work. Guess you are in training too! What you posted about music choice is very true. You know it when you hear it.

I watched it again and had a chuckle... Papa John's refrigerator magnet on the running list at the beginning. I like the shots at :48. I saw that effect on Survivor and it looks cool.

My husband was the same way until our friends and family on FB a few on Vimeo loved his schtick. Now I have to shoo him out of my shot.
