And I agree that we should have multiple contests each year, even if it is only for "bragging rights". Otherwise all we do is answer technical questions about NLE programs and new gear, when we should be making videos! That is what this site is supposed to be about, right? :exc:

Or is that a different Peru?

Some of the early settlers thought that the mountains surrounding the town resembled those of Peru, South America. Hence, the origin of the town's name.

I had that same thought myself while making the video. I think I will trim the beginning of the kayak footage, slide it left, and fit in another clip or still after it. The beat of the music will allow that to be done easily.

Upon watching the video again, looking closely at the clip before the kayak clip, does the beginning of the zoom look a little awkward?

Looks good to me. The zoom was moving through out the whole clip which made the video smooth.

At minimum, I think I should offer a free copy of any book to the winner.

I don't know if the rules will allow it, but I made some modifications based on Ron Hunter's suggestion:

Paz, I have never managed to create a dynamic video with still images,
neither to storytell and give emotions with photographs.
This is a lesson for me, every pic is a sweet shock: colors and shapes, still nature and living pics, and I read many pages of history: days and nights, seasons passing by, civilization and rediscovering original settings.

Very, very nice. ::CLAP: As someone who doesn't have an artistic bone in his body, I admit some envy. A worthy submission to this great collection of 1 minute showcases. :TU:

A lot of Muvipix friends define themselves "someone who doesn't have an artistic bone in his body", then one discovers fine documentarists, magicians in postproduction ...

I was looking forward to your video, Paz. After I visited your website, I suspected that there would be some stunning photographs, some of them being flowers.
I was right. :TU:
