Getting the old band back together

Postby Steve Grisetti » Thu Dec 22, 2011 7:53 am

I wanted to share this clip with you guys.

It's a 12-minute mini-documentary from our annual video yearbook that tells the story of an amazing experience I had this fall.

In college I was writer/performer with a comedy troupe. This year, after over three decades, the university invited us back to tape a reunion show. Surprisingly, all of the core group showed up, flying in from all over the country. It ended up being one of the highest highlights of my year, and I'm proud to say that the video comes as close as possible to capturing the experience of actually being there.

Very cool Steve! A great job of editing. Loved the music. And having spent time in Athens and the surrounding area there was much familiar. To have been able to have gotten the whole troupe back together after all those years was a tremendous feat. I can only imagine how that must have felt. We should all be so lucky to have such an experience. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Dave. How great to be able to go back and have it be as wonderful as it was in memory. I think your video caught the spirit of what you felt. Over the years our appearance changes but who we are inside stays pretty much the same.

First rate, Steve. And your reunion looks considerably less stressful than mine a couple summers ago, i.e. "Deconstructing Sally" at
