Thanks for your comments. I've replaced the video because the date at the end was in the future rather than August where it should have been.... nothing else has changed. David - When you get it right it's like flying over a city with all the life underneath just going about their business. Music is a SmartSound from PE8. Chuck - Yes - if you're ever around I have less of a commute these days - so I have more time. I am intending to be in the U.S. (not necessarily anywhere near you) in 2017 - I hear there's a total eclipse.... Sidd - Here's two pictures (no processing at all) from that clip. - The sun seems a long way away when you look up (more like the second shot than the first). Boat1.jpg boat2.jpg

Where are you going to be in the US Chris? It's still a year and a half away but who knows, maybe we can have a Muvipix get together

Not finalised this yet. - Somewhere along this path - as close to the blue line as possible. http://www.eclipse2017.org/xavier_redirect.htmI would strongly recommend anyone doing their utmost to be on that line of totality. This is one of natures most spectacular events and the difference from even 99% covered is (quite literally) night and day. We saw an eclipse is 2001 in Africa and it is an experience that has stayed with us since.

I've seen a 97% totality once and it did not go totally dark. I really, really want to see this one. My sister and niece, her daughter, live near what would be one of the nearest locations for me. We're discussing a family reunion. This link goes to an interactive link. You can zoom in to see specifics, cities, towns, highways that are in the path of totality. http://eclipse.gsfc.nasa.gov/SEgoogle/S ... oogle.html

Note that the times given in both Paz's and my links is universal time (UT or UTC) you will have to adjust for the local time zone which will vary along the eclipse path.

Thanks Chris. I really like the first picture. With the sun and especially the bubbles. It would be a really cool piece of modern art.

One more. (There are others but...) This one was at a site called "Whale Rock". No whales unfortunately just a large rock formation with lots of swim throughs. Sea fans, black coral, wire coral and a couple of moray eels. The eel at the end of the dive was huge must have been around 8 feet long! Around 25 meters and the colours seemed to vary considerably from shot to shot so a little more of a challenge.
