Re: Mr. NewtonSir Isaac the Newt. Love it! They sure do blend in, don't they?

Re: Mr. NewtonThey do indeed! Naturally, I thought he was a garter snake when I first noticed him.
Glad you got a chuckle out of that... it's as old as the hills! Mr. B caught a newt and brought him home to keep him when he was young. He says it was a full time job catching live flies for it to eat. And his Sir Isaac went back to live in the stream after a very short vacation from home. Re: Mr. NewtonI enjoyed that. It felt like I was outside, not inside watching.
Re: Mr. NewtonNice vid Paz. I really liked the sound of the water.
All that was missing was the voice over of Jacques Cousteau. Sidd "Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it." ..... Ferris Bueller
Re: Mr. Newton
Peru, I think that may be the best of all possible compliments! Thank you!
That's great, Sidd! I only had one 'running water' audio file that seemed to work and it was short, so I added it about six times, then adjusted the volume every so slightly from one clip to another, with the sound increasing as the 'viewer' got closer to the water - when the camera zoomed in. I was definitely trying to create a sense of 'being there.' Um, that would be rather ghostly, hmmm? Re: Mr. NewtonI agree with Dave, Isaac blended right into the surroundings. Very clear video Patrice. Audio was very good too. I could hear a distant bird or two.

Re: Mr. Newton
Thanks, Mom. My video camera does really well under some conditions, not well enough on subjects at a distance. Glad you like the audio. It was all created. Original audio had noise from a loudspeaker from a ball game, traffic, kids who were jumping off a ledge into the water yelling - typical Saturday life in small town America noise. I added water and some bird calls from 'Nature' sounds audio I've bought rights to and some audio of bird calls I've taken myself. Good thing my neighbors know me! I know I must look like the village idiot with the butterfly net every so often! Re: Mr. Newton
Thank you, John! I'm always looking for more options. Those are really nice. Clear already with no background noise. I really like the wind chimes with birds. The tropical rain forest sounds like my backyard. Sometimes the humidity is so high you can hear water dripping off leaves, a little after sunset, when it is not raining.
