Dear Steve, Ron, Chuck, Sidd and others,
Happy New Year 2021!
And thank you again for your support! I have included the muvipix logo in all the recent simple videos I have put together. Some issues are coming up and looking at the subscription videos, I was not able to find an answer, therefore I ask:
when I start zooming in an out videos, the program eventually gets very slow and finally, sometimes, stops responding completely and/or crashes. The same with pictures. I wonder is that because the computer is not fast enough or is there something I could change in the settings to economize the available resources better. I did put a lot of panning and zooming into this particular video, so I wonder whether I overburdened the program. Maybe adding the 2160p clips was too much for it to stomach? I was looking up the subscription videos, but could not find the answer. (please point out the correct tutorial video to look at if there is one, if possible) I also notice things like that when I add text in the videos, the preview runs smoothly, but as soon as I add transitions at the beginning and end of text clips, the preview slows down very much and starts jumping and stopping. Now I discovered that when I simply choose the option "Fade in and Out Video" on every text clip, the program does not slow down, so in that sense the problem was solved. But still I wonder if the computer is simply too slow or is there something that could be changed. The idea with zooming in and out videos was partly this that with the Nicon W300 compact camera I am able to shoot at 4k/2180p and I thought that then I could later in the Premiere Elements Editor zoom in on distant objects, such as the deer at the edge of the forest, and get a clearer picture than I would with shooting 1080p. Not sure whether it really looks better that way, though.
I add here all the settings and the screenshots which I took just at the moments when the program crashed. I noticed that if I started dragging the videos and pictures manually from the edges and moving them around or zooming in and out, the program slowed down very much or crashed, but when I entered the numerical values in the Scale and Position boxes at the Applied Effects-Motion-Keyframes panel, it worked without jamming. Only that this made it more complicated and tedious to work.
Another thing I wonder about is whether it is possible to tune down or turn off the background noise in audio clips? The camera I use is watertight with a built-in-microphone, therefore the audio suffers as a result and has a buzzing noise to it, as you can hear.
Thank you!
