BEST FORMAT FOR AE CS3 COMPOSITING

Postby dalelpaq » Sat Oct 18, 2008 3:39 pm

I am about to buy a Canon HV30 which offers 1080 60i, 1080 30p, and 1080 24p (recorded at 60i which I understand can be converted back to 24p). I have much confusion about these formats but will eventually figure them out. My question is this - for someone primarily interested in creating and displaying very high quality visual effects working with AE CS3 Pto, which of these formats is the best to use. Once I do the compositing, as I said, I'll figure out what format to go to for display. Thanks, Dale

Hi Dale,
Any of the high definition formats will look amazing, 1080i will be excellent both in quality and to work with.
1. Thinkpad W530 Laptop, Core i7-3820QM Processor 8M Cache 3.70 GHz, 16 GB DDR3, NVIDIA Quadro K1000M 2GB Memory.

2. Cybertron PC - Liquid Cooled AMD FX6300, 6 cores, 3.50ghz - 32GB DDR3 - MSI GeForce GTX 960 Gaming 4G, 4GB Video Ram, 1024 Cuda Cores.
