Talk about the advent of Drone photography and video.

Well today is a sad day in Mudville. I Thought I would get up early to capture a cool sunrise. Everything was looking good and by all accounts a routine flight. Then disaster struck. The controller said no connection to drone. And BANG comes the sound of a crash......... UGGGGGGHHHHH ..... Drone DOA and that is the end of that. I picked up the heap of plastic and parts and brought them inside...... There will be a moratorium on flying..... Here is a preview of my next drone.... Sidd

Yes Ouch is the operative word. It crashed pretty hard destroying the arms and breaking the camera mount in pieces. Surprisingly none of the propellers broke. Sidd

Check your homeowner's insurance policy to see if it covers your drone. Some policies consider it personal property and it may be covered.

Thank you Chuck & Bob.
I did get a reply from Parrot so hopefully something will happen there. After doing some pecking around on the Parrot forums it looks like the latest firmware update might be the culprit. Looks like THis has happened to a few people where the drone just crashes. I am hoping it gets sorted because I really like the drone. Easy to fly and I really like that it can record 4K HDR video.......

This was the last image the drone took before it went down....
