Premier Elements 15 - Exporting (saving)

Postby devinftp455 » Sat Jul 29, 2017 8:30 pm

Hi,

I am about to export my video. I have watched the Basic Training tutorials by Steve Grisetti. I see in the Export screen, there is a portion that says "Quality" and a toggle bar that goes from low to high. The icon is between low and high, it's in the middle.

I will be selecting HD 1080, 1920 x 1080, for my video.

Question: Do I leave the icon in the quality bar, in the middle? Looks like Steve does not touch it and leaves it in the middle, between low and high? Thanks.

Devin

What do you plan to do with the video you're exporting, Devin? And what format have you selected for your output?

That said, the default setting will be just fine for most outputs. Increasing it won't make it noticeably better -- but it will make your file larger.

I might recommend pushing it to a higher quality if I were going to re-use the output video in a new project, but otherwise I'd leave it where it is.
